As part of a collaborative team of mechanical, civil, and electrical engineers, you will develop solutions from concepts through prototype development, testing, documentation, and production.**Job Duties:**The Senior Mechanical Engineer will collaborate with teams and develop innovative, practical solutions that drive program success. Key responsibilities include product design, engineering analysis, creating and delivering drawings, coordinating hardware fabrication, and authoring detailed technical procedures. The engineer applies advanced knowledge to resolve problems that are difficult and sometimes complex, often involving multiple issues or specialties, and is responsible for making improvements to processes, systems, or products that enhance program and engineering performance.The role may include managing small projects or processes that affect operational results of the program. The engineer will also prepare presentations, reports, cost estimates, and design reviews for diverse audiences, assist the Program Manager with the technical, cost, and schedule requirements of current tasks, and help shape strategies for future tasks based on customer needs. In this role, the engineer communicates with parties both within and outside the organization, which may include external customers and vendors, and works to influence these parties on relevant policies, practices, and procedures.As a senior member of the team, the engineer coaches and reviews the work of less experienced engineering professionals, providing input and guidance on their tasks and assignments.
