Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a senior Mechanical Engineer to lead design of HVAC, piping, and facility infrastructure for industrial, manufacturing, and commercial projects. You will act as technical lead, mentor juniors, and coordinate with cross-functional teams from concept through commissioning.

The role requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering with PE license, 8+ years of design experience, and strong knowledge of ASHRAE, NFPA, and applicable codes. Travel up to 25% is expected.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering (or related field) and active PE license.
• 8+ years of mechanical design experience supporting commercial and/or industrial facilities.
• Strong background in HVAC, piping, utility systems, and equipment design.
• Experience with BIM coordination and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Knowledge of ASHRAE, NFPA, IBC, and applicable mechanical codes.
• Proven project leadership and mentoring experience; strong analytical skills to optimize mechanical systems.
• Ability to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Perform calculations, equipment selection, system sizing, and engineering documentation.
• Support project planning, client meetings, design reviews, and commissioning efforts.

• Drive system optimization, operational efficiency, and project execution from concept through commissioning.

Seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the design and execution of mechanical systems for industrial, manufacturing, commercial, and mission-critical facilities. This individual will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop HVAC, utility, and piping systems from concept and detailed design through construction and commissioning. This is a great opportunity for an engineer looking to expand their technical expertise, gain exposure to large-scale projects, and work alongside industry leaders.

Must-Haves
