Job summary

Jobot in Goleta, CA is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design, development, and verification of spacecraft components. On-site, permanent role with a strong emphasis on systems engineering and cross-functional collaboration.

You will drive system-level requirements, verification planning, and acceptance testing while mentoring technical teams and coordinating with program management to meet customer expectations and internal guidelines.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in full product lifecycle development.
• Proven systems-level engineering experience and prior leadership of technical teams.
• Experience with PDM Pro, SolidWorks, SolidWorks Simulation, Thermal Desktop, NASTRAN, or ANSYS.
• Familiarity with aerospace standards such as GSFC-STD-7000A (GEVS), AIAA S-114-2005, NASA-STD-5017, MMPDS, and similar.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively within a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead design reviews and develop or review verification plans, validation procedures, and customer acceptance test procedures.

• Ensure requirements traceability and verification through successful test execution.
