Job summary

US Tech Solutions is seeking a Mechanical Drafter in Austin, TX to define, document, and design custom mechanical solutions for large-scale turnkey projects. You will work with clients, engineering teams, and contract manufacturers to tailor Client products to customer requirements, using CAD tools to meet specifications.

The role collaborates with electrical and mechanical engineers to gather system requirements, calculate dimensions and material needs, and produce detailed designs for

Qualifications

BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics.
Minimum of 5 years in a Mechanical Drafting role.
Highly proficient with CREO; 3–5 years of experience.
Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and processes.
2D & 3D design tools: CREO, Pro/E, SolidWorks.
Knowledge of GD&T principles.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Experience generating detailed drawings and design documentation.
Track record of working with external suppliers.

Responsibilities

Generate custom mechanical drawings and Bills of Materials (BOM).
Design/model/prototype mechanical components for test and measurement solutions.
Travel as needed, up to 25% domestically and abroad, to support project objectives.
