Job summary

SIG SAUER, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical/Dimensional Inspector III to perform complex inspections per technical docs. You will work independently, interpret tolerances and datum structures, and mentor others in inspection methods on the manufacturing floor.

The role requires ASME Y14.5 expertise, strong data review, and a commitment to continuous improvement, with regular on-site attendance and potential overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; 7+ years related experience.
• Fluently participate in all areas of inspection.
• Operate independently at a high level and meet deadlines.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Deep ASME Y14.5 understanding with complex datum structures.

Responsibilities

• Review inspection data to ensure integrity and resolve discrepancies.
• Guide MRB team and notify suppliers and customers of resolutions.
• Run complex setups and inspection programs; train others.
• Interpret tolerances and feature control frames for complex components.
• Identify datum structures and interpret frames independently.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain regular on-site attendance and adapt to business needs.
• Adhere to EH&S requirements and SIG SAUER security mandates.
