Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a Mechanical Designer III for a 12+ month onsite contract in Sullivan Park, Corning, NY. You will transform concepts into manufacturable mechanical designs, using SolidWorks and PDM, and collaborate with procurement and suppliers.

The role emphasizes hands-on assembly, prototyping, debugging, and design refinement while maintaining detailed documentation and revision control for production readiness.

Qualifications

• Hands-on mechanical design experience for custom equipment and tooling.
• Proficient in SolidWorks part/assembly modeling and drafting.
• Experience with BOMs and component specifications.

Responsibilities

• Develop complete mechanical designs from sketches and direction.
• Create 3D models, assemblies, drawings, and documentation in SolidWorks.
• Source components, work with procurement, and interface with vendors.
• Apply tolerance schemes, material selection, and manufacturability considerations.
• Support prototype build, assembly, testing, and design refinement.
• Maintain documentation and drawing standards throughout the project.
