Qualifications

• Basic understanding of mechanical and plumbing engineering concepts.
• Basic understanding of approval and permitting processes.
• Understands project schedules and budgets; can work within guidelines.
• Clear and effective team communication with agencies and disciplines.
• Proficiency in Revit.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks or projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform assignments to develop general knowledge, applying standard techniques for CADD and mechanical tasks.
• Exercise limited judgment in engineering details and preliminary design choices.
• Contribute to smaller portions of broader engineering assignments under supervision.
• Apply standard practices and adjust data, recognizing discrepancies and following steps.
• Conduct mechanical design calculations (HVAC, plumbing, etc.) and prepare sketches and analyses under supervision.
• Research code issues and coordinate with city, state, and county officials.
• Support design options research and document findings for engineers/managers.
• Assist in building client relationships through quality design work.
