Job summary

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of principles and practices of mechanical and plumbing engineering.
• Knowledge of approval and permitting process for projects.
• Understands project schedules and budgets; able to work efficiently within project guidelines.
• Communicates in a timely and effective manner within the team and with various agencies and other disciplines.
• Proficiency in Revit.
• Ability to work on multiple tasks or projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical design tasks for heating, ventilation, air conditioning, plumbing, and piping under direct supervision.
• Assumes limited judgment on work details and preliminary selections of engineering alternatives.
• Uses prescribed methods to complete portions of an experienced engineer's broader assignment.
• Applies standard practices, adjusts data, and follows steps to complete tasks.
• Performs mechanical design calculations, sketches, and technical comparisons as required by assignment.
• Researches code issues and coordinates with city, state, and county officials.
• Researches design options and documents findings for project engineers/managers.
• Contributes to new business development by delivering quality production work and building client relationships.
