Job summary

Notch Mechanical Constructors seeks an experienced Mechanical Engineer with a focus on energy, HVAC, and thermal fluids to join our collaborative team. You will design and lay out mechanical piping systems for building and plant utilities, and provide technical direction across design, estimating, and field execution.

You will travel to Notch job sites throughout MA, CT, and RI to support installations and ensure compliance with engineering standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or significant, related experience.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Experience with safety requirements in construction/industrial environments (OSHA 10/30 a plus).
• Proficiency with Autodesk software including AutoCAD and Revit.

Responsibilities

• Performs mechanical design engineering for HVAC, plumbing and energy retrofit projects, including layout, sizing, and selection of equipment and piping.
• Provide technical direction and interpretation of drawings and specifications to craft installers.
• Support project managers by procuring bulk materials and major equipment.
• Perform detailed field layout of piping systems and generate fabrication isometrics.
• Coordinate with project managers and field crew leaders to ensure proper installation.
