Job summary

Ghafari Associates seeks a Senior Mechanical Designer to develop construction drawings and specifications for HVAC, piping, plumbing, and fire protection systems in new construction or renovations. You will work under supervision on smaller projects and coordinate with the Project Manager and other disciplines.

Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD, Trane Trace 700 or Carrier HAP, and Bluebeam is required; energy modeling and BIM 360 knowledge are a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree in architectural or mechanical engineering preferred.
• Proficiency with building energy models and CAD/BIM tools.
• Experience with HVAC/building systems design.

Responsibilities

• Develop construction drawings and specifications for HVAC, piping, plumbing and fire protection systems.
• Review drawings for code compliance and project accuracy.
• Coordinate with Project Managers and other disciplines on design integration.
• Perform field measurements and assist with submittals and revisions.
