Job summary

Lam Research seeks a Drafter/Designer for its Global Products Group in California to translate engineering concepts into manufacturable solutions. You will design mechanical parts and subassemblies, generate layouts, and support product development while aligning with DFx standards.

You will release drawings and BOMs via PLM systems and collaborate with Product Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain to meet cost and design goals, including harness routing in CAD environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6+ years of related experience.
• Proficient in 3D CAD applications such as Siemens NX and AutoCAD.
• Solid knowledge of GD&T, ASME drafting standards, and drawing conventions.
• Experience with sheet metal design and fabrication processes.
• Proficient with PLM systems (SAP, Teamcenter).

Responsibilities

• Design and develop precise mechanical parts and subassemblies, and create layouts for product design.
• Document and release drawings and BOMs through PLM systems.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain to define design and cost requirements.
• Create 3D electrical and pneumatic harness routing using CAD packages.
