Job summary

DSC Dredge, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented designer to bring complex engineering concepts to life through 2D and 3D drafting using AutoCAD and Inventor. This role supports manufacturing of dredging equipment worldwide and offers hands-on design work across structural, piping, and machinery components.

You will collaborate with engineers and the production team, develop drawings from concept to final design, and ensure conformance to standards.

Qualifications

Associate's degree in Drafting or related field.
3+ years of drafting experience in a related industry.
Proven collaborator; able to leverage individual strengths to provide value to the entire team.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Inventor (preferred).
Willingness to travel as required (domestic and international travel).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Utilizes AutoCAD and Inventor drafting software to design and develop infrastructure layouts and diagrams from initial concept to final design.
Develops and reviews mechanical designs with Engineers and provide equipment drawings of schematics for the purpose of manufacturing.
Models structural, piping, machinery, and outfitting components in 2D and 3D modeling spaces. Produces fabrication and arrangement drawings for the modeled design.
Works with Engineers to implement the design and ensure proper operation of final assembly.
Communicates and resolves design issues with the Engineers, Production team, Field Service Technicians and third party vendors.
