Job summary

TechMind RPO Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a Mechanical Designer to create 3D models, 2D drawings, assemblies, and fabrication drawings for mechanical equipment. You will support design, testing, manufacturing, troubleshooting, and installation.

The role requires proficiency in at least two CAD tools (SolidWorks, Inventor, AutoCAD), GD&T knowledge, and experience with BOMs and documentation. You will collaborate with vendors and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design, manufacturing support, product development, or process equipment design.
• Proficiency in at least two CAD tools (SolidWorks, Inventor, AutoCAD).
• Knowledge of GD&T, tolerance stack-ups, fabrication, and assembly.
• Experience with BOMs, engineering drawings, and documentation.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Create and update 3D models, 2D drawings, assemblies, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Prepare shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and engineering documentation.
• Apply GD&T and tolerance analysis to ensure design accuracy.
• Support prototype development, equipment testing, and design improvements.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and manufacturing issues.
• Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and engineering teams.
• Support equipment installation, startup, and commissioning.
• Maintain accurate drawings, revisions, and engineering records.
• Travel: Approximately 10% domestic travel to Corning plant sites or vendor locations.
