Job summary

Velocity EPC in Norman, Oklahoma is seeking a highly experienced mechanical designer to support greenfield and brownfield projects in the industrial and energy sectors. The role requires 8+ years of experience, with CAD design from site layouts through isometric drawings and strong P&ID knowledge for oil & gas facilities.

You will develop 3D models, BOMs, and ensure drawings comply with company standards. The position involves drafting, drawing submittals, revision tracking, and collaboration

Qualifications

• 8+ years in industrial and energy markets with design exposure.
• CAD design from site layouts through iso generation.
• Experience with compressor stations, gas processing plants & well pads.
• Proficient in reading/ applying company standards to drawings.
• Experience with P&ID’s and 3D modeling for oil & gas facilities.

Responsibilities

• Draft and model drawings until full team is built out with drafters.
• Review drawings across disciplines for project alignment.
• Prepare drawing submittals and track revisions.
• Implement drawing packages onto survey for construction documents.
• Use Spec Manager to modify specs to meet client needs.
• Set up Iso-gen to meet client requirements.

We are looking for an mechanical designer to help our growing company out. The designer should have 8+ years in experience in industrial and energy markets, and be ready to hit the ground running with design for both greenfield and brownfield projects. Job description below.

• Has experience with CAD Design from site layouts through iso generation.
• Has knowledge and working experience in compressor stations
• Has knowledge and working experience in gas processing plants
• Has knowledge and working experience in well pad production design
• Has knowledge and experience working with Process and Instrumentation Drawings (P&ID’s)
• Can walk down P&ID’s and as-built facilities.
• Able to use documents produced by the engineer to design O&G Facilities
• Has experience with isometric drawings, and BOM’s.
• Should be able to read company standards and apply them to drawing packages
• Willing to ask questions as needed.
• Is organized and able to help with drawing submittals and keeping track of drawing revisions.
• Should be able to review drawings for all disciplines to ensure alignment with project needs
• Should be familiar with being able to implement a drawing package onto survey to ensure correct construction documents.
• Should be able to use spec manager to change the spec to meet client needs
• Able to set up isogen to meet client needs
• Willing to do drafting and 3D modeling until the full team is built out with drafters
