Job summary

Bi-Con Services is seeking a Mechanical Designer II for projects in the natural gas, hydrocarbon and industrial sectors. You will create detailed 3D models and 2D construction drawings, including plans, sections, elevations, details, bills of materials and isometrics under engineer direction.

The role involves leading drafters, coordinating with engineers and designers, and ensuring work stays on schedule. This office-based position is located in Derwent, Ohio.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or Certificate in CAD, Drafting or Design from an accredited program.
• 5+ years of experience using AutoCAD and CADWorx for Oil and Gas Mechanical design.
• Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulations for the Oil and Gas industry.

• Train new or inexperienced employees
• Communication between all disciplines with cross discipline knowledge to recognize issues within the design.

Overview

Mechanical Designer II will prepare complex drawings on a variety of projects involving mechanical components for natural gas, hydrocarbon and industrial projects. Primary responsibilities include creating detailed 3D models and producing two-dimensional construction drawings including plans, sections, elevations, details, bills of material and isometrics from the models under the direction of an engineer.

This position assists the engineering discipline, leads and directs drafters as needed to keep projects on task and on schedule. Coordinate with other managers, engineers and designers in completing project assignments. This position is an office based role that is located in Derwent, Ohio.
