Job summary

Vertiv Group Corporation seeks an experienced Sr. Mechanical Engineer (Product Design Lead) to direct the design of Single Phase, In Row, High, Coolant Distribution Units (CDUs) in a global development group.

You will lead a design team, review drawings, and ensure timely project delivery while collaborating with offering teams and PMO. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in technical product development, strong project management and mentoring skills, and proficiency with 3D CAD (CREO) and PLM

Qualifications

• BS in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in technical product development.
• Ability to lead and mentor a team.
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design team in development of Single Phase, In Row, CDUs.
• Collaborate with Offering teams to develop product offerings and specs.
• Coordinate with PMO to develop timelines and ensure on-time delivery of project deliverables.
• Review drawings and bill of materials.
• Guide cross-functional design reviews and ensure compliance with standards.
• Identify cost-reduction opportunities and drive design changes.
• Mentor less experienced engineers.
