Job summary

Middough Inc. is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead technical design and mechanical execution on client projects. You will own design work, coordinate with clients and multidisciplinary teams, and drive project objectives in a consulting design environment.

The role requires broad experience in mechanical design, leadership, and proficiency with 3D CAD tools. A PE/EIT path is preferred, with an emphasis on operability, reliability, and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or similar degree.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and conduct the technical work as the mechanical lead on assigned projects.
• Work with client and internal team members to scope and execute design work to schedule and budget.
• Review engineering deliverables for compliance with principles and standards.
• Lead 3D design reviews and develop mechanical solutions in a 3D environment.
• Develop system designs, equipment sizing, and technical specifications.
• Collect field observations and perform detailed engineering calculations.
• Collaborate with other disciplines, clients, and vendors.
• Identify scope changes through formal change management.
• Communicate updates to upstream and downstream teams.
• Coach and develop engineering staff.
