Job summary

Siemens Energy in Orlando seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer to drive design and development of turbine and combustion components from concept to production. You will create 3D models and PMI drawings using NX/Creo/CATIA/SolidWorks, and collaborate with manufacturing, suppliers, and global teams to deliver reliable energy solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design, product development, turbomachinery, aerospace, or rotating equipment.
• Experience with CAD software such as Siemens NX, Creo, CATIA, or SolidWorks.
• Knowledge of GD&T, PMI, engineering drawings, and manufacturing processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary engineering organizations.
• Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
• Export Control Requirement (ECC): candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop gas turbine, combustion, and turbomachinery components from concept through production
• Create 3D models, PMI drawings, GD&T documentation, and engineering specifications using Siemens NX, Creo, CATIA, or similar CAD platforms
• Support product development, manufacturing readiness, and design improvements
• Partner with supplier, sourcing, manufacturing, project management, and engineering teams to optimize performance, quality, and cost
• Lead technical problem-solving efforts and drive continuous product improvements
• Support supplier qualification and new product introduction activities
• Provide technical guidance to global manufacturing and engineering teams
