Job summary

Siemens Energy is seeking a Senior Combustion Engineer to develop and improve combustion-system hardware for utility-scale gas turbines. You will evaluate flow distribution, mixing, pressure loss, and emissions, translating results into robust hardware designs in collaboration with design, test, and manufacturing teams.

The role requires 5+ years in gas turbine combustion, strong CFD/thermodynamics knowledge, and experience with Siemens NX, STAR-CCM+, and ANSYS Workbench.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in gas turbine combustion design and CFD.
• Experience with combustion hardware design and validation.
• Ability to translate analysis into robust hardware recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Perform CFD and combustion-aerodynamics analyses of gas turbine systems.
• Develop and assess combustion hardware concepts using thermodynamics and heat transfer.
• Use Siemens NX, STAR-CCM+, ANSYS Workbench to build models and document conclusions.
• Integrate data to support hardware qualification and risk assessment.
• Define analysis needs for new or modified combustion hardware and review assumptions.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, test, and field teams to resolve issues.
