Job summary

Construction Job Board USA is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer for a semiconductor manufacturing client in New Jersey. You will lead hands-on design of thin-film deposition systems, mentor engineers, and collaborate across teams to deliver reliable equipment.

Candidates should have SolidWorks proficiency, experience with AutoCAD and Office, and familiarity with PLCs/control systems. Travel domestically and internationally may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years in mechanical design.
• Experience in semiconductor/ vacuum equipment design is preferred.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, prototype, document, and maintain mechanical systems.
• Create BOMs, budgets, quotes, and vendor interactions.
• Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
• Oversee testing and troubleshooting of designs.
• Develop control system interfaces including PLCs and industrial protocols.
