Job summary

Direct Recruiters, Inc. in Mason, OH is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join an established automation and robotics company. You will design robotic automation, tooling, fixtures, and automated equipment using SolidWorks and lead mechanical aspects of projects.

You will collaborate with controls, electrical, programming and manufacturing teams, work with customers on requirements, and support fabrication, installation and commissioning on site.

Qualifications

• Experience designing robotic automation systems.
• Ability to lead mechanical design across multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Design robotic automation, material handling, assembly, and packaging systems using SolidWorks.
• Develop mechanical designs for tooling, fixtures, robotic cells, machine tending, and automated equipment.
• Serve as a technical lead on projects while collaborating with controls, electrical, programming, and manufacturing teams.
• Work directly with customers to understand requirements, participate in design reviews, and provide technical project updates.
• Partner closely with shop-floor personnel during fabrication, assembly, troubleshooting, and equipment build.
• Support occasional customer site visits, project kickoffs, installations, and commissioning.
