Job summary

Honeywell is seeking a Senior Advanced Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the mechanical design, development, qualification, and lifecycle support of advanced pressure sensing products for Industrial Automation, Oil & Gas, Process Control, and Aerospace & Defense applications.

The successful candidate will drive sensor concepts from concept through production, support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, and implement product enhancements and obsolescence management initiatives for

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Minimum of 6 years of mechanical design experience in sensors, instrumentation, or electromechanical products.
Experience with NPI, sustaining engineering, and product modifications.
Proficiency in Creo, SolidWorks, or similar 3D CAD software.
Experience with engineering drawings, GD&T, and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

Lead design and development of pressure sensors and transmitters from concept to production.
Develop mechanical designs that meet performance, cost, quality, and compliance requirements.
Create CAD models, drawings, and engineering documentation.
Perform design analyses and support FEA-based optimization.
Manage product enhancements, design changes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Lead testing, validation, and certification activities.
Support root cause analysis, corrective actions, and reliability improvements.
Partner with manufacturing, quality, and suppliers to support production and product performance.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering team members.
