Job summary

Direct Recruiters, Inc. represents an established manufacturer seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to prepare detailed equipment designs, specs, BOMs, and estimates, and to support cross-functional teams from development through commissioning.

You should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 3+ years of machine-design experience, with SolidWorks experience and PDM knowledge. Relocation to the Pacific Northwest is required.

Job description

Our client, an established manufacturer of custom industrial machinery, is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their engineering team. In this role, you'll prepare detailed equipment designs, along with detailed specs, BOMs, and cost estimates for customers. You'll oversee design support functions and troubleshoot issues from development through commissioning, and support Sales, Project Management, Assembly, and Service teams both in the field and by phone.

You have advanced technical skills — experienced in solid modeling design, preferably using SolidWorks, and capable of preparing thorough, detailed machinery designs. You're a strong communicator, bringing sound design judgment and the ability to share technical knowledge across teams professionally and collaboratively. You navigate change well, seeing it as a chance to innovate, and adapt quickly to customer needs to deliver the best outcomes.
