Job summary

Sincerus Solutions is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to own aerospace mechanical hardware from concept to production. The role demands hands-on design, analysis, prototyping, and qualification across mechanical, fluid, and structural systems, with strong first-principles judgment.

The position requires onsite work in El Segundo, CA, five days a week, and involves working closely with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure robust, manufacturable designs and qualification

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical/ aerospace or related field.
• 4+ years of professional mechanical engineering experience; 5+ preferred.
• Experience taking hardware from concept to production and GD&T proficiency.
• Strong communication across engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Own mechanical and electromechanical hardware through design, qualification, and production handoff.
• Develop high-reliability aerospace hardware including valves, actuators, and switches.
• Translate requirements into practical designs; reduce complexity where possible.
• Lead design, analysis, prototyping, and first-unit builds.
• Create detailed drawings, specs, tolerances, and design documentation.
• Apply DFMA and liaise with suppliers and manufacturing teams.
• Support qualification testing and environmental, mechanical, and thermal requirements.
