MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited college or university.
  • Prior experience in oil and gas industry or downhole drilling operation
  • Minimum of 10 years of design and product development engineering experience in downhole tools

PREFERRED SKILLS OR QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's degree in mechanical engineering
  • Experience in remedial, milling, and fishing tools design engineering.
  • Experience in drilling and/or completions tools.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Creativity, curiosity, product vision, growth mindset, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with 3D CAD required, preferably in Pro/ENGINEER Creo or equivalent.
  • Proficient in applying GD&T principles to ensure precision, functionality, and manufacturability.
  • Ability to conduct analyses using FEA (Abaqus or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of machining, casting, injection molding, and additive manufacturing to ensure designs are manufacturable at scale.
  • Proactively improving products, processes, and workflows for better efficiency and performance.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey technical information.
