Job summary

Framatome North America seeks an experienced Component Owner in Mechanical Product Design to lead design and engineering of nuclear fuel assembly components. You will create drawings, specifications, and parts lists, and guide qualifications while evaluating manufacturing nonconformances.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering; other related fields may be accepted.
• Minimum of 7 years of related experience.
• Advanced knowledge of engineering standards, techniques and criteria.
• Excellent communication skills to convey detailed technical data.
• Ability to collaborate and work within a team environment.
• Demonstrated leadership characteristics and proactive problem-solving.
• Proficiency with specialized software tools and programming languages as required.

Responsibilities

• Initiating, reviewing, and maintaining product drawings and specifications.
• Using GD&T to define design tolerances.
• Collaborating with suppliers to resolve fabrication concerns.
• Monitoring component manufacturing and addressing real-time issues with production teams.
• Developing and qualifying new/mechanical designs for future fuel lines.
• Supporting design testing by setting requirements, methods, and reporting results.
• Performing standard engineering tasks in design, development, analysis, testing, and field work.
• Awareness of government regulations and applicable engineering standards.
• Applying standard techniques with judicious modifications.
