Job summary

ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems AB in Tulsa, Oklahoma, is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for our New Product Development team. You will design, prototype, test, and launch new products, driving manufacturability and cost-effectiveness from concept through production.

You will develop 3D models and drawings in SolidWorks, collaborate across engineering, production, quality, and supply chain, and manage projects from ideation to launch.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in product development or engineering, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• SolidWorks proficiency; Driveworks a plus.
• Experience with FEA, DFM, and DFMEA is highly desirable.
• Experience with electromechanical products involving controls, automation, sensors, motors, actuators, or industrial equipment.
• Experience with PLC-based control systems and HMI interfaces is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to the design and development of new products.
• Develop detailed specifications, 3D models, and drawings using SolidWorks.
• Prototype, test, and validate design concepts.
• Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, procurement, marketing, and quality teams.
• Manage the complete product development lifecycle from ideation to production launch.
