Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (science/engineering/math).
• Minimum 5 years in material characterization, preferably aerospace/related industries.
• Experience with material characterization techniques (mechanical testing, microscopy) and modeling tools.

Responsibilities

• Material Characterization: perform studies using microstructure analysis, mechanical testing and data modeling.
• Design Guidance: translate characterization insights into design recommendations for durability and reliability.
• Testing and Validation: conduct experiments to verify material performance under various loading conditions.
• Troubleshooting: identify root causes and propose solutions to improve material reliability.
• Interdisciplinary Collaboration: work with design, manufacturing, and QA teams.
• Documentation and Reporting: document findings and present to stakeholders clearly.
• Continuous Improvement: advance methods for material characterization.
