Job summary

Valkyrie Enterprises in Huntsville, AL, seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer with a strong background in structural and hardware design to lead design activities on advanced projects.

You will develop CAD drawings, perform analyses, and collaborate with internal and external customers to ensure requirements are met. A Secret clearance is required; a BS in STEM and 5–10 years of related experience are expected.

Qualifications

• BS in STEM with 5–10 years related experience.
• Structural, mechanical and hardware design experience.
• CAD drawing development under ASME Y14.100 guidelines and ASME Y14.5 GD&T.
• MS Office Suite experience.
• Ability to conduct research and analyze requirements, capability, and operational effects.
• Strong analytical and reasoning skills with ability to visualize processes.
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills; ability to work collaboratively.
• Self-motivated with keen attention to detail.
• Proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities and customer service orientation.
• Knowledge of design techniques, tools and principles for technical plans, blueprints and models.
• Knowledge of engineering science application to design, manufacture, integration and test.
