Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• ASME code familiarity and piping-stress fundamentals encouraged.
• (2+) years hands-on experience in piping/fluid systems in industrial settings.
• Experience sizing equipment for pumps, valves, exchangers.
• Familiar with pressure-drop calculations and basic structural checks.
• Working knowledge of ASME codes and welding procedures; safety expectations.
• Exposure to drafting/analysis tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CFD/FEA.
• Experience in regulated/process industries is advantageous.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Q Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, modify, and layout facility piping systems with component sizing.
• Create and update mechanical/piping drawings and specs.
• Perform pressure-drop, flow, and thermal calculations; assist with CFD/FEA.
• Conduct pipe-stress and support-structure checks; document results.
• Prepare ROMs, equipment lists, and technical evaluations for procurement.
• Provide field support with factory acceptance tests and commissioning.
