Job summary

New York Technology Partners seeks a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead design, development, and optimization of complex mechanical systems for industrial fluid handling, pump packages, fuel systems, and control assemblies from concept through production.

You will design, model, and document assemblies, collaborate with production and vendors, and mentor junior engineers while ensuring quality, cost effectiveness, and compliance with standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5–10+ years of mechanical design engineering experience.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, or Creo.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, fluid systems, fabrication, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience creating detailed fabrication and assembly documentation.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical systems, assemblies, and components for industrial and commercial applications.
• Create detailed 3D CAD models, fabrication drawings, and production documentation.
• Develop pump systems, piping assemblies, fuel systems, skids, tanks, and integrated mechanical packages.
• Perform component selection including pumps, valves, fittings, motors, instrumentation, and structural elements.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable industry standards, codes, and customer specifications.
• Review and improve existing product designs for manufacturability, cost reduction, and reliability.
