Job summary

Cornell Pump Company is seeking a mechanical engineer to lead projects developing new pump product lines. You will coordinate with stakeholders, perform mechanical design and analysis of centrifugal pumps, and integrate electrical drivers and motors to meet specifications.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in project management and mechanical design of pump packages.
• Strong background in integrated electrical/mechanical assembly design.
• SolidWorks proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Manage & support projects to develop new product lines that serve the company’s strategic growth initiatives.
• Develop project proposals with market research, feasibility studies, scope definition, cost estimates, and development schedules.
• Coordinate mechanical design & analysis of centrifugal pumps, pump packages, and related components.
• Integrate pump drivers (VFDs) and electric motors.
• Coordinate sourcing for the NPD process and communicate with suppliers on goals, timelines, and pricing.
• Perform product testing and support field troubleshooting as needed.

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering
