Matic Robots Inc. is hiring a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead end-to-end design of critical subassemblies for our home robotics platform.

You will collaborate with hardware, software, and product teams to realize autonomous home robots with real-time 3D mapping and on-device processing. We value hands-on engineers who own tradeoffs, drive supplier relationships, and push for robust tolerancing and test plans.

Competenze

• Technical degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in design of high-volume shipping products with demonstrated capability.
• Experience through at least one full production ramp.
• Experience with high-volume manufacturing and tool design discussions with suppliers.
• Ability to develop tolerance/variation strategy for an assembly.
• Strong test design judgment with accelerated test plans tied to field data.
• Hands-on contributor who built/measured/debugged recently.
• Willingness to own work outside your discipline when needed.

Mansioni

• Own a critical subsystem end to end: requirements, architecture, design, validation, tooling, and ramp.
• Translate product goals into engineering requirements and defend key decisions when they conflict.
• Make tradeoffs across cost, mass, acoustics, serviceability, manufacturability, and reliability; explain decisions across teams.
• Own the tolerance budget for the full assembly, not just components.
• Decide where to spend analysis, testing, and build time for efficiency.
• Drive suppliers from tooling kickoff through T1 and T2, ensuring quality on schedule.
• Own failure investigations from field returns back to root cause and corrective action.
• Raise the technical level of engineers through design reviews and mentorship.
