Job summary

Matic Robots Inc. is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to lead the design of critical PCBs and subsystems for our home robotics products. You will collaborate with hardware, software, and product teams to advance our vision of autonomous home robots.

Ideal candidates have a strong track record in consumer electronics, hands-on PCB design, and a passion for meticulous detail. The role offers a fast-paced startup environment with competitive compensation and equity.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional electrical design experience on a product (consumer) that shipped in high volume.
• Experience with ECAD tools (Altium, Cadence) and PCB layout.
• Experience with digital protocols (I2C, SPI, USB, MIPI).
• Experience with component selection, schematic capture, and PCB layout.
• Exposure to regulatory certification processes.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end design and manufacturing of critical PCBAs in the system.
• Subsystem design and prototyping, component selection, schematic capture, prototype bring-up and debugging, hardware bug tracking, verification, and signal characterization.
• Board layout of PCB assemblies including SoCs, microcontrollers, connectors, sensors, power devices.
• Electromechanical integration with mechanical and firmware engineers.
• Develop specifications and accelerated test plans to validate the product for its lifetime.
• Coordinate with contract manufacturers to ensure proper production of PCBAs and subassemblies.
