Vertiv is seeking a SR Mechanical Design Engineer in Anderson, South Carolina to lead the mechanical design for Switchboard/Switchgear lines. You will develop 3D CAD models, create BOMs, and guide cross-functional teams across design, manufacturing and supply chain.

You will review requirements, apply industry standards (UL/NEC/IEC), and support prototyping and testing. The role is onsite with travel as needed and involves working in a dynamic data center-focused environment.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with relevant design experience.
• Experience leading mechanical design for switchgear/power distribution components.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD and interpreting electrical schematics.

Mansioni

• Lead concept and detailed design of power systems (sheet metal, busbar, cables, wire harnesses).
• Develop complex drawings and bills of material for mechanical design.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams and review specifications for NPD and sustaining products.
