Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) in Seattle seeks a seasoned engineer to design and implement energy-efficient mechanical systems for next-generation data centers. You will lead cross-functional teams, guiding projects from conception through implementation and budget management.

You will collaborate with hardware teams to optimize facility integration and drive continuous improvement through data analysis and monitoring.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including but not limited to: data centers, power generation or oil and gas facilities experience
• Knowledge of critical data center/mission critical mechanical and electrical equipment
• Experience in data center/mission critical design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance

Responsibilities

• Design and implement energy-efficient mechanical systems for next-generation data centers
• Lead cross-functional teams in developing innovative solutions for complex engineering challenges
• Oversee project lifecycle from conception through implementation, including budget management
• Foster collaborative relationships with hardware teams to optimize facility-equipment integration
• Guide continuous improvement initiatives through data analysis and performance monitoring
