Job summary

Ramboll US Corporation seeks a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer for data center facilities in Valhalla, NY or Los Angeles, CA. This full-time role focuses on advanced HVAC design, central plant systems, and retrofit improvements for critical facilities.

You will lead independent work, plan and execute designs, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure schedules and budgets are met. The position requires 10+ years’ experience, AutoCAD/Revit proficiency, and data center exposure.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
  • EIT/PE a plus
  • 10+ years (min) of experience working for a design engineering firm including some Mission Critical (data center) design experience
  • Firm grasp of engineering concepts including theoretical and practical applications for HVAC Systems
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office programs
  • Knowledge and familiarity in use of mechanical engineering software such as but not limited to heat loss/gain calcs, pipe-flo, CFD modeling, etc.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and clearly to jr staff for project development
  • Must be self-motivated and know project design steps/requirements

Responsibilities for Senior level Mechanical Engineer:

The successful candidate shall be able to work independently with minimal supervision for tasks as follows:

Salary Transparency

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across severalU.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $106, 000 - $133,000 annually and does not include bonuses, overtime or other forms of compensation or benefits. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience.
