Job summary

Apple Inc. is seeking a senior mechanical design engineer to lead multi-functional projects and deliver robust, scalable solutions for next‑generation mobile devices. The role involves prototypes for validation, failure analysis, and close collaboration with Asia vendors and internal teams.

You will work primarily on-site at contract manufacturers in India to enable product scale, balancing tight schedules with high‑quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years mechanical design experience with various fabrication processes.
• 3+ years consumer electronics design with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong fundamentals in heat transfer and mechanics of materials.
• Understanding of tight tolerances and GD&T techniques.
• Experience in DFM, DFA and statistical tolerance analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects in a multi-functional setting and communicate with vendors in Asia and internal teams.
• Build prototypes for design validation and drive failure analysis.
• As designs mature, work on-site at contract manufacturers to implement and integrate devices.
• Deliver robust, scalable design solutions balancing priorities and schedules.
