Job summary

AIRO Group Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the research, development, and documentation of mechanical and structural components for avionics systems.

Responsibilities include designing, testing, and integrating components, generating manufacturing drawings, and ensuring DO-160 and related safety standards compliance. This role requires hands-on collaboration in a fast-paced environment at our Phoenix, AZ facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• 7–10 years in mechanical design experience.
• Experience with CAD software and SolidWorks.
• Ability to perform thermal analysis and structural analysis.
• Design for manufacturing and production documentation.

Responsibilities

• Research, develop, design, test and document mechanical structures.
• Maintain and improve existing mechanical/electromechanical designs.
• Apply mechanical engineering principles.
• Plan and direct activities to meet design specs and requirements.
• Produce engineering and manufacturing drawings and diagrams.
• Conduct tests and record data for evaluations.
• Lead lifecycle from prototype to qualification and delivery.
