Job summary

Global Connect Technologies seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer for automotive lighting to design lamps, housings, bezels, and mounting components. You will create and modify 3D models and 2D drawings, including GD&T and tolerance stack-ups, to meet stringent performance and manufacturability targets.

You will work with Electrical, Manufacturing, Quality, and supplier teams to resolve design issues, support packaging, sealing, thermal management, and vehicle integration, and participate in

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in Mechanical Design / Automotive Lighting.
• Experience with automotive headlamps, tail lamps, fog lamps, or exterior/interior lighting components.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T, DFM/DFA, plastics, and manufacturing processes.
• Understanding of lamp mounting, sealing, thermal, and mechanical integration requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop automotive lamps, lighting housings, bezels, brackets, and mounting components.
• Create and modify 3D models, 2D drawings, GD&T, and tolerance stack-ups.
• Support lamp packaging, fitment, sealing, thermal management, and vehicle integration.
• Perform design reviews and support prototype, testing, validation, and production activities.
• Work with Electrical, Manufacturing, Quality, and supplier teams to resolve design issues.
• Support engineering changes, design improvements, and DFMEA/DVP&R activities.
