Job summary

Curtiss-Wright Corporation seeks an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer in Santa Clarita, CA to conceptualize, design, and document electronics packaging and mechanical components for defense electronics programs. You will lead cross-functional teams, perform design trade studies, and collaborate with vendors, customers and IPT teams to ensure timely, robust solutions.

The role requires a BS in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering (ABET) with 7+ years in aerospace/defense, hands-on MCAD

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Aerospace or Mechanical from ABET-accredited school.
• Minimum 7 years in Aerospace/Defense or similar regulated industry.
• Experience with MCAD software; SolidWorks preferred.
• Experience in Electronics Packaging, minimum 5 years.
• Lead Mechanical Engineer on a program interfacing with IPT Team/PMO/Customer.
• Proficient in managing schedule and budget.

SolidWorks is preferred.* Must have thorough experience in Electronics Packaging, a minimum of 5 years.* Must have familiarity with CCA (Circuit Card Assembly) design and manufacturing.* Experience as a Lead Mechanical Engineer on a program, interfacing with IPT Team/PMO/Customer.* Must be Proficient in managing schedule and budget.
