Job summary

Tenicor LLC in Moscow, Idaho is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to transform product vision into manufacturable parts and systems, taking concepts through detailed design and production.

You will design for manufacturability across multiple processes, perform tolerance analysis and FEA, and build prototypes to validate designs before production. Strong CAD skills (Fusion 360 or SolidWorks) and a proven track record of taking products to production are required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with vendors to qualify outsourced components and processes.

# Senior Mechanical Design Engineer**Tenicor LLC**2720 W Pullman Rd, Moscow, ID 83843Full-TimeContact MemberApply Now**Overview**The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer takes Tenicor's product vision and turns it into real, manufacturable parts and systems -- carrying new products from concept through detailed design and into production. Since 2008, we have been determined in our design, development and testing of innovative and intelligent equipment.**What you'll love to do:*** Design parts and systems for manufacturability across a wide range of processes -- CNC machining, injection molding, casting, forging, additive manufacturing, and more.* Run tolerance stack-up studies and FEA to catch problems on screen instead of in the field.* Build the roughest prototype, test it, break it, draw a conclusion, and move to the next revision.* Apply Theory of Constraints thinking to figure out where your design effort actually matters.* Create and maintain clear, accurate models, drawings, BOMs, and documentation in Fusion 360.* Select materials, fasteners, and finishes with an eye toward cost and durability.* Work directly with vendors and suppliers to qualify outsourced components and processes.**You'll succeed if you:*** Possess a strong attention to detail but can see the big picture.* Are not afraid to fail, learn from it, and get better than yesterday.* Have an immense bias toward action, experimentation, and forward momentum.* Can take direction and run with it.* Are fluent in Fusion 360 or a comparable 3D CAD package (SolidWorks, etc.).* Understand or are excited to learn how tolerancing, GD&T, and material selection decisions ripple downstream into cost and manufacturability.* Have several years of new product development experience with real products you've carried to production.* Are comfortable testing a design against real-world durability standards (drop, shock, vibration, environmental exposure).* Have a strong interest in shooting and tactics.
