Job summary

Octagon Group in Texas is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the mechanical development of complex low-voltage switchgear and switchboard systems for data centre power infrastructure.

You will design assemblies, generate manufacturing drawings, BOMs and ECOs, and play a key role in prototype builds and manufacturing, driving technical ownership in a fast-growing, highly collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with low-voltage switchgear or switchboards.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks.
• Experience producing manufacturing drawings.
• Experience creating BOMs.
• Knowledge of DFM/DFA.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical assemblies for low-voltage switchgear and switchboards.
• Generate detailed manufacturing drawings, BOMs and ECOs.
• Design structural frames, enclosures, cable management and service access.

Due to continued growth, we're looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the mechanical development of complex low-voltage switchgear and switchboard systems.
