Job summary

Randstad USA in Auburn, Alabama seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to drive innovation at a world-class manufacturing facility. You will develop and introduce new designs into production, enhance existing designs in production, and mentor the engineering team.

This permanent, direct-hire role offers full benefits and relocation assistance, with hours 8am–4pm and a Bachelor’s degree required. You will contribute to cutting-edge projects with injection molding, machining, and automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
• Minimum 5 years of mechanical design experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with 3D CAD; CREO preferred.

Responsibilities

• Developing and introducing new designs into production
• Deliver designs with innovative, cutting-edge technology produced locally in a world-class manufacturing facility.
• Designing injection molded thermoplastic parts
• Specifying machining requirements for metal and plastic parts
• Modeling mechanical parts in 3D CAD
• Developing product test plans and specifications

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering
• Must have at least five (5) years mechanical design experience within a manufacturing environment
• 3D CAD expereicne (CREO preferred)

Preferred

• Experience in an injection molding, machining, casting, or forging environment
• Ability to design for automation
