Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a Construction Lead Mechanical Superintendent for a major project. The role manages the mechanical supervision team overseeing rotating equipment, HRSG, centerline equipment, and related construction activities in a dynamic project environment.

Based in Reston, VA with mobilization to the project site, the position requires extensive field leadership, strong safety commitment, and the ability to coordinate with subcontractors and design teams to meet schedule and budget

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or international equivalent with 8–10 years of relevant experience (or 12–14 years overall).
Experience with combined cycle facilities is preferred.
Knowledge of rotating equipment, tanks & vessels, and HRSG installation is advantageous.
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities; proven team leadership.

Responsibilities

Leads construction activities for rotating equipment, centerline equipment, HRSG, tanks, and vessels.
Monitors budgets, labor, equipment, material, and subcontractor performance.
Ensures safety policies and zero-accident objectives are followed on site.
Interprets engineering documents and coordinates with contractors and design teams.
