Job summary

Fluor Corporation is seeking a Construction Engineer to support field construction by providing engineering and technical support for multiple disciplines on large projects. You will interpret design documents, assist with quality and coordination, and communicate across project teams to maintain schedule and scope.

The role requires a four-year engineering degree and extensive site experience, with strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Accredited four-year degree or global equivalent in engineering field of study; 12+ years of work experience; certification/registration if required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors.
• Job-related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job.
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable statutes and guidelines.
• Attention to detail and ability to work in a time-conscious manner.

Responsibilities

• Assist craftsmen, foremen, and supervision with construction-related issues identified on drawings.
• Provide technical interpretation of design documents for project managers and contractors; support problem solving.
• Maintain effective communication between the company and the design engineer to ensure timely flow of information.
• Coordinate the project quality program when the quality function is the responsibility of the construction engineering department; report status to project management.
• Other duties as assigned.
