Job summary

Fluor is seeking a seasoned construction engineer to support large stand-alone projects and multiple disciplines, providing technical construction support, interpreting design documents, and ensuring work is built to the scope of work.

You will assist craftsmen and supervision, coordinate the flow of design information between the field and design teams, and help implement the project quality program while maintaining schedules and safety.

Qualifications

• 4-year engineering degree and 12 years of work-related experience; local requirements may vary.
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences including management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors.
• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job.
• Knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines.
• Detail-oriented and time-conscious, with ability to manage deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist craftsmen, foremen, and project supervision with regard to construction-related issues identified on drawings.
• Provide technical interpretation of design documents for construction managers, superintendents, and contractors; contribute to problem solving.
• Establish and maintain effective communication between the company and the design engineer to ensure timely flow of design documents and information.
• Coordinate the preparation and implementation of the project quality program when the quality function is the responsibility of the construction engineering department; report the status of functions performed by the department to project management.
