Job summary

Stantec's Buildings team is seeking an experienced electrical commissioning professional to lead and perform commissioning activities for MEP systems in data center projects. You will oversee tests, write SOPs/MOPs, and coordinate with contractors to ensure high-quality building performance.

This role requires deep knowledge of HVAC, electrical distribution, testing procedures, and strong documentation skills. Travel to projects nationwide is expected, with primary locations in OH/IL.

Qualifications

• Requires a technical/Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Data Center / Mission Critical experience preferred.
• Ten years+ experience in engineering service delivery, consulting or design environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in commissioning projects across planning, scheduling and coordination.
• Perform engineering design reviews, prepare commissioning scripts and reports, and manage client-site testing.
• Develop standard operating procedures and methods of procedures; compile comprehensive commissioning documentation.
• Prepare commissioning test procedures and reports; maintain logs and checklists.
• Produce reports with recommendations to optimize building operations and maintenance manuals.
• Review design criteria, specs, drawings and equipment submissions for commissioning relevance.
• Lead meetings and interface with contractors, vendors, and testing technicians.
