Job summary

FST Technical Services, Inc. seeks a Senior Mechanical Project Engineer to lead commissioning on large-scale data center projects, driving performance and reliability with field leadership across Atlanta, GA or Detroit, MI and travel as required.

Ideal candidates hold a degree in HVACR or related engineering, with 7+ years of experience (or 3+ years commissioning) and proven data center experience. This is not a remote role and requires mobilization to project sites with per diem and relocation

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Project Engineer who brings deep technical expertise, field leadership, and the ability to drive outcomes in high-performance environments.

What You will Do

Project Leadership & Execution

• Lead commissioning activities across the full lifecycle

What You Bring

Core Qualifications

• Degree in HVACR, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related field
• 7+years experienceor 3+ years commissioning
• Data center experience required

Technical Capabilities

• Experience with HVAC, controls, automation, fire safety systems
• Ability to read construction documents

Professional Skills

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in field environments and lift 30 lbs

Preferred

• EIT, CEM, OSHA 30, BIM experience

Travel Requirements

Travel to project sites as needed based on project demands.

Compensation & Travel Package

• Base Salary: $150,000 to $170,000 depending on experience, comprehensive benefits, monthly per diem and mobilization support
• Long-term opportunity within FST's growing commissioning organization
