Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in Berkeley, CA is seeking a Mechanical CAD Designer to support the ALS-U project. You will develop detailed 3D mechanical designs, assemblies and fabrication drawings that translate engineering concepts into manufacturable products.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience with Creo Parametric, strong drafting skills, and the ability to collaborate with engineers, scientists and multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in mechanical design or related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience using PTC Creo Parametric.
• Experience producing manufacturing-ready Creo drawings with GD&T.
• Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and meet schedules.

Mansioni

• Create and maintain detailed 3D mechanical part and assembly models using Creo Parametric.
• Develop concepts based on engineering requirements and project objectives.
• Build and manage complex assemblies with advanced Creo techniques.
• Prepare manufacturing- and assembly-ready drawing packages and BOMs.
• Apply GD&T and drafting standards to all drawings.
• Develop interface models supporting fabrication, assembly, testing, and commissioning.
• Collaborate with engineers and scientists to define requirements and resolve issues.
• Maintain organized CAD models, drawings, and revision-controlled documentation in Windchill.
